My Trip to See "The Little River Band" - 7/25/10

We took Harrison to an outdoor concert at the Hudson Gardens on Sunday and he had a lot of fun. He was perfectly behaved, made friends with everyone around us, and LOVED the cupcakes that Joan brought to share!

'Horsing' Around with Daddy - 7/19/10

Harrison likes to pretend Kevin is a horse and get bounced around. It is interesting, though, that he won't ride the little rocking horse at the play area near our house. Maybe he has a thing about heights, because he doesn't like the swings either.

Flying Fun with Fuzzy! 7/19/10

Talk about a love affair! Boy, is Harrison attached to his little stuffed animal, 'Fuzzy'. Sometimes Fuzzy even gets to go for a plane ride!

Getting Ready for Baby Brother - 7/11/10

We have been trying to get organized for the arrival of Harrison's little brother...and of course, Harrison wants to help as much as possible!

Our Trip to Tiny Town - 7/10/10

We took Harrison to Tiny Town yesterday afternoon and had perfect weather right up to the minute we were ready to leave. Just as we headed for the car, it started to pour! Tiny Town is a 95-year-old attraction filled with mini buildings for kids to explore.
They have a nice, shady picnic area at Tiny Town, so we started the afternoon with a picnic which Harrison enjoyed.

...and peered at us from behind the bars (I also included a video below of Harrison exploring this building).

...but Harrison tried the front door anyway!

And before we left, we all took a ride around the town on this train. Harrison liked that a lot!

A Reading and Shopping Kind of Morning - 7/5/10

Harrison loves two of his books named "The Hat" and "The Mitten" ...he recognizes them and asks for them by name. This is one of them, but I can't tell which one. His other favorite book is "Elmer"...he says that over and over and over and wants to read "Elmer" all the time.

Happy 4th of July wishes from Harrison....he created some festive firecracker art for the occasion!

Moving into My New Room!!! - 7/3/10

Harrison has a new bedroom with a new bed! He has been excited about it for awhile and he finally moved in this weekend and tonight is his first night in his new bed! He had NO issue at all with sleeping in his new environment. He climbed right into his bed, laid down and was asleep within a few minutes. I think we wore him out in the heat at the Arts Festival! He looks so tiny sleeping in a twin bed.

Lunch on the go - 7/3/10

We went to the Cherry Creek Arts Festival today and Harrison enjoyed his lunch in the shade. He was really funny about eating it though. He would not touch any of it until he was sitting on the 'bench' just like we were.

Story time - 7/1/10

Harrison collected all of these books on one side of this chair and then crawled up into the chair and proceeded to 'read' them one by one, moving each to the other side when he was finished. You can see his progression from the top picture to the bottom one.
