Me and the Easter Bunny

We took Harrison to visit the Easter Bunny yesterday. He liked the Easter Bunny as long as someone familiar was sitting with him, but he wasn't too happy with being left alone with a giant bunny......

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day wishes from Harrison...he made this leprechaun in school today (and came home with almost no green paint on his clothes!)

...he also dressed in green for the occasion.

My New Playhouse - 3/9/10

We saved this big cardboard box from our new dishwasher for Harrison to use as a playhouse... it seems he likes to pretend that it is a grocery store!

I'm not sure why this video is showing up as a black screen, but it does work if you click on the play button.

Building My Immunity - 3/5/10

If you've been wondering where the updates have been for Harrison's blog, this picture pretty much sums up the last week. It didn't take long for the germs at the preschool/daycare to gang up on poor little Harrison's immune system. He had a runny nose by the end of the first week and just kept feeling worse up until now. He's on the mend, but still not hungry or energetic. Hopefully, he will perk up and get his appetite back in the next day or so. It's so odd to see him not want to eat!

Hello, Hello... 3/1/10

Harrison is so cute with telephones. Whether it is a cell phone, a toy phone, or the home phone, he loves to put it up to his ear and walk around as if he's talking to someone. And forget about trying to actually talk to someone on the phone when he is around...he definitely wants to be part of the conversation!

After School - 2/26/10

I am REALLY thirsty after playing so hard all day!

What a Day! 2/22/10

Harrison had a lot going on today! Kevin started his job, so Harrison went to his first day of daycare, then on to the doctor for his 15-month check-up and vaccinations. He did great with everything and as you can see from the picture above, he even earned a sticker from the nurse at the doctor's office. She made a big deal about how painful this set of shots was and how it would get really sore and painful, but he only cried for a second at the office and never seemed to care after that at all. He weighed 24 pounds and was 32 inches long. At daycare, he started working on a turtle for this week's art project and met all of his new friends. He had some trouble napping and didn't eat lunch, but as he adjusts, I'm sure sleeping and eating will make it back to the top of his priority list! Overall, he was a very happy guy considering everything he had going on today!

Meet my new friend! 2/14/10

My little condo - 2/14/10

I wonder what's going on in here??

Hey, look! I fit perfectly -- just a little cozy...

...I've had enough of this for now.

Time for Some Juice - 2/14/10

Hmmm...this looks refreshing....

...I think I'll share with my friends!

I'm a Jedi Knight (or something like that)!

I finished using a roll of wrapping paper today and gave the empty tube to Harrison. He thought it made a great toy!

Play time! 1/31/10

We took Harrison to the mall to play on the giant breakfast food yesterday and he had a lot of fun. Even though he was one of the smallest ones there, he mingled in with all the other kids who were running and jumping around him and didn't seem the least bit intimidated!

Books!!

Harrison LOVES books....carrying them around, looking at them, or having them read to him. In fact, 'book' seems to be his new favorite word; and he says it very well....

"PLEASE read me this book"
"I wonder how this one ends"

More Progress - 1/19/10

Harrison is making more progress on several fronts...both, walking and using a spoon. Yesterday (and today), he was walking all over the place...and much faster! This video shows one of his little journeys, but I don't think it was his longest one. He is also getting better with using utensils. He can do a better job than what you can tell from this video, but you get the idea.

Making Progress - 1/17/10

This is the longest trek we've seen Harrison make so far....pretty soon he'll be off and running!

Learning to eat by myself - 1/14/10

Harrison has started eating with a spoon (mostly) by himself. It's a little messy, but hopefully he'll get better soon. A friend of ours watched him today who said he would pick up a pea, place it on his spoon and then put the spoon in his mouth. He wouldn't do it for us!
