Exploring New Places - 9/26/09

Harrison is really interested in exploring his environment, and that includes trying to get into anything he sees...like the shoes on the stairs or the little nook beside the stairs. He actually pushed the plant stand completely out of his way to get back into the corner....

I just know he is thinking about what he can get into next in the picture below....or else he is wondering how to get his hands on the camera!

Ten Months Old!

It sometimes takes awhile to get a decent picture, and this time I think Harrison was getting a bit tired....

...."are we almost done?"

Storytime!

My Aunt Jane read me and Lion one of her favorite books from when she was little (The Snowy Day). The pictures were really pretty, but I still had trouble focusing. :)

Who needs fancy toys?

Harrison is very fascinated with opening and closing doors, including cabinet doors. We put a few things in the cabinets that he can play with, and what a fun new world that has opened up for him...

Hmmmmm.....I wonder what fun things I can find in here to play with...

Look! I found a big round plastic thing unlike (and much better than) any of my other toys....

I should check out another cabinet now and see what else is available for my amusement...these bags looks interesting....

Do you mind if I leave all of this out so I can play with it later?

The Attention Span of a 9-month Old...

Harrison couldn't decide if he was more interested in his maple teething biscuit (which he loved; he smelled like a bottle of maple syrup for the rest of the evening) or in the camera that was pointed at him. It's so funny to see his attention switch back and forth between the two in an instant...

What's going on out there? 9/7/09

I was out on the patio behind our house taking some pictures of the sky last night, and as you can see in the picture above..... Harrison really wanted to see what he might be missing.

Here's one of the pictures I took from our backyard...
