Mordecai Children's Garden - 4/26/12

Aunt Jane gave us some free passes to the Denver Botanic Gardens, so Harrison, Declan, and I decided to check out the Children's Garden that opened within the last year or two. It was really neat and lots of fun!!  Plus, the weather was beautiful!!  Thanks, Jane!

Walking through the big log tunnel.

This stream and waterfall were the biggest attraction!! Getting kids out of here was next to impossible!

Running things at the general store!

 Tending to the garden.

More work to do at the mercantile!

 Resting around the 'campfire'.

A place for Fuzzy to sit.

Making sure the birds nests are all in order.

Running back and forth across the floppy bridge!!

 Playing hide-and-seek!

Digging for treasures in the dirt at the end of a fun-filled morning!

En Garde!! 4/24/12

I found some toy swords in the $1 bins at Target yesterday and they were a big hit with Harrison and Declan....let the sword fights begin!

"Running in the other direction might be my best option..."

"...or maybe I should just stick with the bat!"

 "Oh, is that a camera?"

 "I'm the champion!!"

"Now, I'm King of the Mountain!"

Check out this video of Harrison having a sword fight with himself...and his comment at the end.

Clean-up Time! 4/23/12

After a fun morning playing in the back yard, it was clean-up time for Declan. He thought it was pretty neat to take a mini-bath in the kitchen sink!

Hard at Work in the 'Bakery' - 4/22/12

Harrison was working very hard in his imaginary bakery the other day, making all kinds of delicious confections!

Exploring the Flea Market with Grandpa and Grandma - 4/13/12

We all headed to the Mile High Flea market last Friday when Grandpa and Grandma were visiting for a few days. Unfortunately, many of the vendors were not open on Fridays (nor the kiddie rides), but Harrison had lots of fun walking around and exploring with Grandpa.

He found a slide to play on near the Farmer's Market area.

 Lunch with Grandpa!

"Grandpa fed me french fries! Yummy!"

Ready for Bird Watching - 4/12/12

Declan and Harrison are in love with the new binoculars they received from their Auntie Lisa for Easter! Declan usually looks through the wrong end, but he is having fun figuring out how they work.

Farmer Declan - 4/12/12

Harrison and Declan's Auntie Lisa sent some Easter gifts which arrived the other day and one of them was this hilarious chicken that lays eggs and sings a song. Declan was fascinated with it! He still gets it out every morning to load it with eggs and watch it go!

Dinosaur Picnic - 4/9/12

Harrison has been doing lots of fun stuff for his new dinosaurs. He sets up picnics, builds cities for them out of blocks, and takes them to the moon (or sometimes Saturn) in his rocket ship!

Pl-eeee-ase Pick Me Up! 4/9/12

Who could resist such a sweet little face!

Double Trouble - 4/9/12

Watch out for the devilish little duo!

Happy Easter!! 4/8/12

 The Easter Bunny came!!
Harrison was beside himself with excitement...he saw the Easter 'baskets' from the top of the stairs and started dancing around in circles and screaming, "The Easter Bunny brought me a new puppy friend for Fuzzy". He is definitely a big fan of the Easter Bunny! However, Declan was mostly just interested in the chocolate lollipops and the sound he could make by touching the foil wrappers.

Harrison was in love with the new dinosaurs and immediately started lining them up and playing with them.

Declan seemed to be wondering what all the excitement was about.

Happy Easter!!!
