Playing Outside at Grandpa's House - 6/16/12

Omaha Zoo - 6/16/12

We visited Grandpa and Grandma over the weekend and during our visit we checked out the Omaha Zoo! It was really nice and Harrison and Declan loved it!

 Next, we visited the Aquarium.

 Time for a lunch break. Thank goodness we timed this well....while we were eating lunch, there was a torrential downpour, but we stayed dry!

 Harrison loved the tigers....

 ...and jumping in the rain puddles!

Our last stop was a ride on the zoo train....a real steam locomotive!

 "That was great!"

Our Day at Pirate's Cove! 6/13/12

Today, we celebrated an early Father's Day with Kevin since he has to work on Sunday. We checked out the Pirate's Cove Water Park in Englewood and had a really fun day!!

 We all floated along this lazy river...around and around! Everyone loved it!

 If you don't pay attention, you'll get pushed into this waterfall!

 These slides were Kevin's favorite part of the park. If you look closely, you can see Kevin and Harrison at the bottom of the picture, too!

 "Wow! That was so much fun!"

 Time to check out the kiddie pools!

 There were tons of shallows areas that were great for little kids to play in the water. This was Harrison's favorite part.

 "Hmmm, now what am I supposed to do?"

 Hanging out under the waterfall.

 Declan splashed his hands in the water and then put his hands on his head until he got his hair all wet...it was quite a process. I guess he didn't want his head in the water!

 Harrison went down the kiddie slide once, and then decided it wasn't for him.

 "I love it here!"

 Declan was a very good lounger!

"Finally! I found the spraying water spouts!!"

 This was, by far, Declan's favorite part of the water park.

 Every thirty minutes or so, this giant bucket of water fills up and dumps on top of anyone who wants to stand under it. We didn't try it!

 Time to dry off and go home.

I think they were a little worn out for the drive home!
